Basecamp started with something simple.

An empty storefront in the heart of Bolton Landing.

It could have stayed that way. Instead, it became an opportunity.

An opportunity to create something useful. Something beautiful. Something fun. And, hopefully, something good.

What began as an idea for a shop quickly became something bigger: a place inspired by Lake George, the Adirondacks, the people who live here, and the people who come back year after year because this place gets under your skin in the best possible way.

So we built Basecamp.

Part store. Part experience. Part love letter to the lake.

And part experiment in just how much good can begin in one small place.

Basecamp brings together four different personalities, all connected by the same place.

Basecamp is for getting outside, slowing down, and remembering that life tends to get better when the signal gets weaker.

RELAX is permission to take your time. To stay a little longer. To let something wait.

Bolton Bigfoot celebrates the folklore, fun, mystery, and wonderfully strange side of the Adirondacks.

And Greetings from Lake George is our love letter to the lake itself—the people, places, stories, memories, and little moments that make it unforgettable.

We believe a store can do more than sell things.

It can make someone smile. It can introduce you to a local artist. It can help protect a trail. It can send a little love through the mail. It can give you an excuse to put down your phone and go outside.

It can remind you that small things matter. That idea lives in everything we do.

You’ll find handwritten messages of kindness tucked into unexpected places. You can choose a postcard, write someone a note, and let us take care of the postage. Some products give directly back to local conservation and nonprofit efforts. Local artists will become part of the store. Bigfoot will occasionally leave the building for a good cause.

Because doing good doesn’t always need to be complicated.

Lake George isn’t just where Basecamp happens to be. It is part of what Basecamp is.

The colors come from the woods, the water, the stone, and the changing seasons. The products are inspired by campfires, islands, old lake towns, long drives north, early mornings on the dock, and evenings nobody is quite ready to end.

Even our fragrance collection begins here—turning islands, forests, rain, cedar, mist, pine, and memories into something you can bring home.

We don’t want to make souvenirs that simply tell you where you’ve been.

We want to make things that take you back.

Bolton Bigfoot is our playful Adirondack take on the legendary Sasquatch.

Inspired by the forests, folklore, and slightly mysterious side of the Adirondacks, Bolton Bigfoot appears on clothing, kids' products, stickers, gifts, artwork, and other things throughout Basecamp.

Is he real? We recommend keeping an eye on the tree line.

Our Island Scents are home fragrances inspired by the islands of Lake George.

Each fragrance captures a different mood of life on the lake through woods, citrus, fruit, herbs, fresh air, warm amber, and other carefully chosen scent notes.
